Dirk & Chevaun's Wedding

I really enjoy talking or rather writing to myself you know.... No one has bothered to forward me any decent pictures of the wedding so I was forced to put the only ones that I had on here. Braxton was supposed to take some more pictures for me but when I looked at the camera after the wedding all I had were pictures of the back's of people's heads and the ground!! Not really anything worth sharing.
I think it went very well. We worked our butts off getting the place and the food ready. Way to go "Team Black", we really worked together and made it happen. I still can't believe how the kids even pitched in and helped decorate and make the food. I was really proud of all of them.
Tammy really did a good job on the cake. It was better than anything that you could have bought and was very elegant. Mom and I battled the arch until we gave up and decided that we had messed with it enough. Trina, Colton and Steven chopped all the fruit and veggies and then helped me make the Chicken Salad. Brenna got the kitchen organized and set up all the chairs and buffet tables. We were calling Mark our 'kitchen bitch' because he kept all the dishes washed and the tables wiped off. Dennis was at home cussing the avocados because they were too hard to make guacamole. He finally gave up and only made half a batch, good thing he made plenty of salsa though.
After dinner everyone talked and danced until their feet hurt. (I know mine did)
We all pitched in and cleaned up the place and were back to the farm by 10:30. We got all the food out again and sat around munching on leftovers and talking. It was a nice way to wind down at the end of a very busy day!!
So... when do we start this catering business we keep talking about?? Lord knows we have all had enough practice!!

Garrett's B-day

Yes, I have been slacking this month... but have finally gotten Garrett's birthday pictures up. I have been working on the slideshow for 2 hours because I couldn't get Trina's fat head to fit in the picture with her, Garrett and Tanner. (Just kidding of course, Trina!!) I took the picture of them long ways (up and down) and so I had to keep cropping it so that she would fit. This blog stuff is hard work!! I spent so much time on it that I used the same one for both my blog and this one.
My camera is backed up with pictures so I need to work on it alot this month. I dont have very many good pictures of Dirk & Chevaun's wedding which will be my next post so if any of you got some really good ones of them or the family please email them to me so that I can include them.
Garrett's party went well and I appreciate everyones help, especially Tammy. It is hard to control all those youngsters and I get flustered. Dennis cooked their hotdogs and helped me get them fed then hid in the garage and kept asking if they were gone yet.
Garrett got everything that he had asked for and is already making his list for next year!!

Dierks Bentley Concert

Mom, Tammy, Trina and I went to the Dierks Bentley concert last Saturday. It was good but not quite as packed as I thought it would be. There were 2 whole sections with nobody in them!! I have never been to a concert that wasn't sold out before. Maybe there wasn't much advertisement or something. I hadn't even heard about it until Trina called and wanted us all to go. He was here with Bucky Covington and Lee Brice. Lee was good and quite a little hottie. (yes, I did pull up his website to get a closer look.) Bucky was a good singer but a major dork! He was really skinny and kept flipping his hair all over (not attractive at all on a man.) Dierks was excellent although he had this funny way of bouncing around instead of dancing.
We had a good time once we got in our correct seats! We were leaving it up to Trina to get us there and we went in the right door the first time but then decided to get some food and drinks before we sat down. The second time we went in the wrong door. We had the seats and the row correct though.... so close. Besides, how was Trina supposed to double check the tickets when she had them stuffed down between her boobs!! Ha Ha Trina... I knew you would want me to tell everyone that.
After the concert we went to Village Inn for some pie and coffee. It was a good night.

Colton's Birthday

We met at Mom's house on Sunday to celebrate Colton's 14th birthday. Man he's getting old. He is already as tall as I am and wear's size 11 shoe!! Tammy orderd pizza and she brought these goofy things called B'Loonies. You put this goop stuff on the end of a little straw and blow bubbles with it. Colton got the hang of it first and had a whole row lined up on the table. Then it became a competition as to who could make the biggest one. Weston had everybody beat for a while until Mr. Competition, Garrett figured his out. I think they ended up and tied in the end. Trina took the award for 'prettiest'. Somehow she got hers blown into a heart shape. It looked really cool. Brenna and Hunter were too busy running around outside so I didn't get any pictures of them. Colton got an electric scooter, some shirts and MONEY!! (Every teenagers favorite).

Dennis also had a birthday this week on Tues. He doesn't like to talk about age. He just says he's "OLD". He is working out of town so he wasn't home to celebrate. The boys and I called him Tues morning to tell him Happy Birthday and he was sick in bed. He has had a sinus infection for the past week and hasn't felt good. He went to the doctor and got an antibiotic so hopefully it will clear up soon. Sick in bed is not a fun way to spend your birthday let alone any day!!

Hunter's Birthday

It was Hunter's Birthday on the 8th and we celebrated it last weekend at the Farm. She got some new clothes, some boots that she wanted and a really cool BB gun. She was happy to have her family there with her. For her birthday dinner she had requested steak, broccoli and fruit salad. Yummy!! Chevaun even made her some strawberry shortcake for dessert. The kids were all begging for seconds. On Sunday all the kids went outside for a "Gun Safety" lesson with Dirk. Chevaun, Mom and I were inside most of the weekend making the invitations for the wedding next month. They turned out so cute!! (Watch for yours in the mail). Macie was entertaining us with her stories as usual. She is such a talker.

MELLOW YELLOW

Here is one picture of my new car. Like I said it is YELLOW. I think people may notice me now. I drove it to work one day but now it sits in the garage because the weather is nasty. Can't be getting it all dirty!!!!

Mama's Gone Crazy!!!

I bought myself a new toy on March 24th. A 1991 Corvette. It is bright yellow with black leather interior. I have always wanted to have one so here I go. You have to live out some of your dreams!!! It is cool but very different from the Tahoe-----so small and close to the ground. It is really quite a trick for me to get in and out of it. I'll be doin some cruisin this summer!!! Look for pictures as I will get some posted soon. It is B A according to Trina---but what does she know???
